The Abramson Center for Jewish Life operates its own gerontological research group – the Polisher Research Institute. Founded in 1959, the Institute provides national leadership in improving the quality of life of older persons through the study of the social and behavioral aspects of aging.

Through this research for advances in aging research, the Abramson Center is able to provide superior treatment to our patients and residents. Every individual health plan we develop is informed by the ongoing work of the Polisher Research Institute.
