MEDICAL AND REHABILITATIVE CARE

The Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life has achieved a national reputation for excellence in geriatric medical care. The Center has been a training site for physicians seeking to specialize in geriatric medicine. And, in the early 1980s, the Center founded one of the nation's first community medical practices dedicated to caring for seniors.

Today, the Abramson Center for Jewish Life's full-time medical staff, cares for residents of the Abramson Residence for nursing and Alzheimer's care and The Inn for assisted living, both located on our new campus.

Our medical staff includes board-certified geriatricians, along with certified physician’s assistants, as well as a psychologist who provide psychotherapy, neuropsychological testing, and clinical evaluations.

Residents don’t need to travel to see subspecialists or obtain rehabilitative services. Our Medical and Rehabilitation Suites on the second floor of Town Square provide a wide range of services in a convenient setting, especially designed to meet the needs of elderly patients.

The Medical Suite offers a broad array of subspecialists, including: cardiology, dermatology, ear-nose-throat, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatric psychiatry, ophthalmology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, rheumatology and urology as well as dentistry and podiatry.

The Rehabilitation Suite offers physical, occupational and speech therapies.

Members of the medical and psychology department also engage in research in cooperation with the Center's Polisher Research Institute.
