Other Ways To Give
Chairman's Circle
Your Annual Fund gift at the Chairman’s Circle level ($5,000 and above) will help us to sustain the quality of life of the aged served by the Abramson Center for Jewish Life.
What is Chairman's Circle?
Through their annual contribution to the Center, Chairman's Circle members support the many special therapeutic, recreational, cultural, and religious programs that enhance our residents' wellbeing.
Your membership also helps the Center shoulder the enormous economic burden of caring for a large number of Jewish elders who have no financial means.
Who are our members?
"Belonging to Chairman's Circle makes me feel good, and it makes other people’s lives better. It's a mitzvah."
Chairman’s Circle members have a wide range of interests and professions. Some are relatives of seniors who were or currently are residents of the Center, or are volunteers or lay leaders. Other members have no previous connection to the Center, except for a desire to support our mission. Our members include individuals, businesses, and foundations.
How will my gift make a difference?
Your gift will help us to provide the care our elders need and deserve in a warm, Jewish setting, and to serve Jewish elders needing nursing care who have outlived their financial resources.
Of the 324 elders living in the Center’s Abramson Residence, 7 out of every 10 have no assets and depend on the state’s Medical Assistance (Medicaid) program.
However, Medical Assistance reimbursement covers only 75 percent of the Center’s actual cost of care, thus creating a significant funding gap.
Your support helps to bridge this gap.
How do I join Chairman’s Circle?
You join by making a tax-deductible annual gift of $5000 or more, exclusive of other support to the Center. Gifts are eligible to be matched through a challenge grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
How will my gift be recognized?
As a Chairman’s Circle member, your name will be listed on a beautiful recognition plaque in Town Square, the social hub of our campus, and you will be invited to our annual recognition event.
Your name will also be published in our annual donor honor roll.
Chairman’s Circle membership is recognized according to the following giving levels.
