| Special features of the Abramson Center for Jewish Life's new campus
Every detail in the Center's new campus incorporates the latest knowledge about the needs of older adults and reflects the respect for dignity and individual worth that has always defined the Center's care. Defining aspects of the new campus are:
Homelike Jewish environment: Entrance foyers, private bedrooms and cozy, homelike dens create a comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Pets and plants fill the environment with warmth and life. Judaica, soft window treatments and carpets add to the homelike atmosphere.
Familiar lifestyle: Nutritious kosher meals are served in intimate dining rooms. Activities and care are tailored - day and evening - to residents' interests, individual preferences, and choices. Intergenerational activities and family involvement are fostered.
State-of-the-art senior care: As always, the Center draws on the latest findings in research and clinical practice to assure that residents remain as healthy and independent as possible.
Alzheimer's care: Older adults with dementia are cared for in an activity-focused environment that caters to their special needs and emphasizes personal dignity and safety.
Connection to the community: Among its special features, Town Square offers places for socializing, including a synagogue, kosher bistro, and children's play alcove where residents can interact with visiting youngsters. By drawing people of all ages, our Center has become a truly multigenerational center for Jewish life.
Beautifully landscaped grounds: From four-season porches and outdoor courtyards, residents are able to enjoy the outdoors and the changing of the seasons in a secure and lovely setting.
