ResearchPolisher Research Institute is helping to improve the quality of life of seniors by testing groundbreaking concepts in the care of older people, with a special emphasis on those living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Key questions of interest include: How can long-term care providers improve the quality of the last stages of life? Which emerging technologies and innovative programs can best enhance care provided to persons with dementia? Through their work, Institute researchers also seek to understand the broader implications of the changing healthcare needs of America's aging population and to shape related public policy. The Institute routinely partners in collaborative efforts with universities, research organizations, and providers. Recent projects include collaborative efforts with University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Michigan, RAND, the Population Council, the University of Maryland, Drexel University, and I.D.E.A.S. Major federal funding sources have included the National Institute on Aging, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. |
