As a valued supporter of the Abramson Center for Jewish Life, your privacy is important to us. In the course of making a credit card transaction, or applying for employment via our Web site, we collect and disclose information about you to third parties and/or retain information for our own use. This privacy statement describes the information we collect and how it is used.

Information Collection & Use

We use the information you provide in order to process donations, and to personalize notifications to recipients of gifts that are given “in memory” or “in honor” of an individual, family, or occasion. If you are purchasing a product, we use the information you provide in order to fulfill your order. We also use this information to monitor the success of our fundraising efforts, to provide information on opportunities for giving, to promote the programs and services of the Abramson Center for Jewish Life, and to facilitate the employment application process when you apply for a position at the Center through our Web site.
Credit Card Donations and Product Purchases

In order to process credit card transactions from our Web site, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order forms. You must provide contact information (such as name, e-mail, billing and shipping addresses, and information about the people you want us to notify about your gift) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). Your credit card and billing information is shared with companies with whom we have contracted to gain authorization from your credit card company and then to process the payment with our financial institution. If we have trouble processing an order, we will also use this information to contact you.
We also use the information you provide in order to send notification cards or letters to the individuals you indicate on gifts in memory or in honor of someone.
Your donation or order will be acknowledged electronically via a letter or receipt that you may print from our Web site. Donations may also be acknowledged by additional correspondence from individuals at the Center who are involved in fundraising. You may also be added to our mailing list to receive Center publications, appeals, and special announcements, but you will have the opportunity to opt out.
Employment Applications

If you have submitted your resume and personal information through our Employment Form, we will utilize that information to determine whether there is an open position that meets your skills and experience, as well as to contact you. We will retain your information for future reference and will contact you should there be a position that we feel might interest you.
Program Updates and Appeals

We will occasionally send you information on the Center’s programs and need for support. Out of respect for your privacy, we offer you the option not to receive these types of communications. Please see the “Opt-out Option.”
Creating an Account

You may choose to create an optional account to save your billing and shipping information. You may want to do this if you regularly make contributions or purchases through our Web site as creating an account will speed you through the “check out” process by pre-populating the order form with your name and address.
Opt-out Option

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of receiving appeals or promotional materials from us when you complete our order form during the process of making a contribution or making a purchase.
